 World Class Level Racing}
An ISAF Class Association "Classic Yacht Class"

The "Shark Worlds"  is the high point of each years sailing season. It is 
the regatta where the European and North American Shark sailors get
to test their skills against each other.  The first truly international 
championship was held at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in the summer
of 1969 with crews from Canada, Switzerland and Germany.  The 
following three years, crews from Holland and West Germany also 
participated.  Over the years the venue has moved across the Atlantic 
several times between Sweden,  Austria, West Germany, Canada and 
U.S.A and is now regularly scheduled two years running in North America
and one in Europe.  It is a vibrant regatta with over thirty years of 
continuous competition.  Below is a list of the winners and the host
