Bill,
I thought you might be interested to know that Shark 5 was destroyed
this year when her cradle collapsed. Apparently, the mast blew off the
deck in a wind storm. The stays were attached to the chainplates and
they were ripped out of the bulkheads. Water got in, filled the boat,
froze and broke the bulkheads away from the hull and then the cradle
collapsed finishing off the boat. It's a really sad way for a boat to
go. Unfortunately, the owner wouldn't sell her. I think the oldest
glass hull is 007. Is # 6 still sailing?
I'm hoping to eventually come to Canada and said Hammer Head #188 in the
Trillium, but until the alerts are gone, I'm stuck here in the US
waters. Have a great season!
Steve Lee
