2000 GOLDEN HORSESHOE REGION REPORT

TO THE CSCA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

The membership for the Golden Horseshoe Region was 42 this year, which is down a little, from the 46 of last year.

 

During the weekend of June 10-11 the Shark Provincials were held at The Royal Hamilton Yacht Club with twenty-seven (27) boats participating.  First Place went to Sid Dakin on “Duck Soup”, second place went to Greg Cockburn on “Eager for More” and third place went to Colin Brown on “Betty”.  The 2001 Provincials will be held on the weekend of June 9-10 at the Bronte Harbour Yacht Club.

 

The Bronte Harbour Yacht Club hosted the Golden Horseshoe Open Championship on the weekend of  July 8-9 with twenty-five (25) boats racing.  First place went to Mark Wiggins on “Unc”, with second place going to Kalle Saarits on “Debu” and third place being won by Sid Dakin on “Duck Soup”.  The 2001 Golden Horseshoe Championship will be held at The Royal Hamilton Yacht Club.
