Interior configurationFrom: Ted Foxley CommentsDate: Wed, 18 Dec 1996 (Message "seeded" by BH from prior email) Hi Bill. Although I don't own a "Shark" or any other boat at this time, I'm thinking of returning to "the fold". Since my initial involvement with Sharks in the mid 70's, I've owned a C+C 32, a C+C corvette, and a Nonsuch 26. The Nonsuch went when I got a new roof, furnace, and septic system. I'm sure you understand. But, I digress. I'm interested in finding a stiff, safe trailerable boat that I can modify for cruising. Is there any information, or can you direct me to any source re: changing the interior configuration of a "Shark" that would enhance its appeal to the single-handed cruiser. I look forward to hearing from you. Ted Foxley tfox@bconnex.net
Re: Interior configurationFrom: Bill Henderson CommentsTed, Now that's a challenge! Let's see what we can do to help. I have done a good bit of singlehanding myself by my cruising modifications were limited to a "working/chart table which slides back under the s'bd cockpit seat when not in use. Locally John Macdonald had done things to his Shark but he is usually "2up". I will put your message on the Web Page - lets see what we get. Maybe we can get you "Sharking" yet. It is great little boat! Bill
Re: Interior configurationFrom: Ted Foxley CommentsDate: Fri, 20 Dec 1996 (Message "seeded" by BH from prior email) Thanks for getting back to me. Although I've sailed a Shark in my earlier days, at the time I wasn't thinking "cruising". Questions re: food stowage, holding tanks, cooking facilities, roller furling, interior conversions, etc. come to mind. I wonder what modifications have been thought of or iplemented to date. P.S. Is Doug Kreelman (Kokomis) still sailing his Shark? As I remember, he was a pretty keen racer.
