Subject: Shark Windows
Dear Ron
I have a Shark currently at Newcastle YC. Its No 575 and when I bought it
three years ago was almost ready for the scrap yard.
Two years ago I replaced the windows with tinted plexiglass purchased and
cut to size by a sign manufacturere in Oshawa.
It only cost $75.00 and they are working very well.
I ended up keeping the old aluminium frames in order to keep some stiffness
in the cabin walls. However I think I might simply bolt the plexiglass
directly onto the outside of the cabin if I were to do the job again.
It wasn't dificult to do and certainly made the boat look better.
